The Bupati of Badung Regency in Bali, Bapak I Nyoman Giri Prasta, has expressed a strong commitment to transforming the Jimbaran area into a prime culinary tourism destination.
Initially, Rp 25 Billion (USD 1.6mio) has been designated for enhancing Jimbaran Beach and constructing the coastal route, Jalan Segara Giri Jimbaran.
“Our primary focus is on the coastal area and its connecting roads.”
“We hope the local community remains united and continues to be the primary stakeholders in their home,” emphasized Bupati Giri Prasta.

He is confident that the project will be completed on time, thanks to a round-the-clock work schedule.
There are also plans to tidy up the cables in tourist spots by grouping them onto one pole. Furthermore, they are setting up waste bins and aim to finish all these improvements by 2024.
This development has been a long-standing desire of the entire Jimbaran community, including the fishing groups.
The community’s proposals from 13 banjars were presented to the Regent of Badung. Initially, approval was granted to enhance Jimbaran Beach and the construction of an access road from Jalan Pemelisan Agung to Jalan Yoga Perkanthi.
During the ceremony, the Chairman of Jimbaran Traditional Village, I Gusti Made Rai Dirga Arsana Putra, expressed: “This is the initial stage, hopefully in the future it can be continued and become an alternative to the western ring road in the Jimbaran and Bukit areas. So that the traffic jams that always occur on Jalan Uluwatu I can be avoided”.

Foundation Stone Placement Ceremony
At the ceremony on Wednesday (11/10), where the first stone for the Jimbaran Beach and Jalan Segara Giri Jimbaran project was laid, he was accompanied by I Wayan Adi Arnawa from Sekda Badung.
The ceremony had notable attendees, including Ida Rsi Bhujangga Waisnawa Pancering Jagat from Griya Lingga Bhuwana in Jimbaran.
Other distinguished guests were I Wayan Loka Astika from DPRD Badung, I.B. Surya Suamba from Kadis PUPR, Ketut Gede Arta from Camat Kuta Selatan, and I Gusti Made Rai Dirga Arsana Putra, representing Bendesa Adat Jimbaran.
Giri Prasta highlighted the significance of the ceremony as the commencement of the beach and road development in the Jimbaran coastal area.
