The beautiful Seminyak John Hardy Boutique and Gallery invites communities to explore the world of artistry while addressing plastic concerns in Indonesia. Join John Hardy Boutique and Gallery along with Plastik Kembali in their collaborative effort to preserve traditions for future generations!

John Hardy Boutique and Gallery provides a serene getaway to escape the busy streets of Seminyak. Spanning two levels, the space showcases exquisite jewellery pieces handcrafted by artisans in their workshop located outside Ubud.

John Hardy only uses 100% reclaimed Sterling Silver and Gold in all jewellery production while meticulously hand-weaving its iconic Classic Chain designs.

Meanwhile, Plastik Kembali aims to tackle Indonesia’s significant plastic waste issue through the power of traditional folk art heritage.

Founded in 2019 in Selong Belanak, Lombok, Plastik Kembali has a team of 30 talented local artisans – mostly women. They practice old weaving methods from South Lombok and partner with recycling centres across Indonesia to gather plastic and other materials like fabrics and wood.

In perfect harmony with John Hardy’s passion for sustainability and maintaining the island’s harmony through its international brand, Plastik Kembali skillfully uses traditional techniques to weave, tie, and shape artworks using recycled plastic, scrap fabric, natural fibre, and other materials – resulting in a refreshing take on traditional Indonesian craftsmanship that inspires and educates people throughout the exhibition.

Visitors can delight in the art installations at the gallery. Plus, you can participate in engaging workshops and social events that focus on addressing Indonesia’s plastic pollution and gather with the communities!

With an open space concept, John Hardy Boutique and Gallery creates an immersive community “oasis” that celebrates the finest of Indonesian cuisine – fulfilling family feasts at The Long Table Lunch, locally ground coffee to revitalising herbal remedies and creative cocktails at The Jamu Bar.

Also, enjoy shared plates from The Kitchen, or savour them during iconic Sunset Picnics in the boutique and gallery’s terraced garden, graced by the Balinese temple view.

The special exhibition runs from 21 July to 5 October 2023, and entry is free. So, don’t miss out on this creative collaboration!
