Bali, Indonesia, is set to host another global event. The island will be the venue for the World Water Forum in 2024, an event that emphasizes the importance of water resources and their sustainable management.

The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) has recorded that around 20,000 delegates are expected to attend the World Water Forum in May 2024. This forum serves as a platform for leaders, experts, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss and collaborate on water-related issues. The event aims to foster international cooperation and promote innovative solutions to address global water challenges.

A Global Gathering in Bali

The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) has recorded that over 20,000 delegates are expected to attend the World Water Forum in 2024.

The event is scheduled for 18-24th May 2024

This forum serves as a platform for leaders, experts, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss and collaborate on water-related issues. The event aims to foster international cooperation and promote innovative solutions to address global water challenges.

Hosting such an important event is a testament to Bali’s and Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation. 

The President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated in his welcome note:
“Sustainability of water resources has become a pressing issue for the world. Global water needs have increased sharply, in line with population and industrial growth. Meanwhile, the availability of quality and sustainable water is increasingly difficult due to environmental degradation and climate change.

We must work together to promote efficient and integrated management of water resources as part of our agenda; so that water can be managed and used for common prosperity. Indonesia is very pleased to host the 10th World Water Forum in Bali in 2024 with the World Water Council (WWC). There are many substantial issues to be prepared for this peak event next year; to find solutions, innovations and joint actions for implementation as soon as possible.”
