Fairfield by Marriott Sunset Road Kuta Bali
Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road is now approaching its 4-year milestone since opening in 2019. Located close to Kuta’s vibrant mall scene, endless restaurants, the international airport, and of course, the iconic Double Six Beach, this resort offers a convenient space for a quiet family getaway and meets the needs of business and leisure travelers alike.
Day 1
After receiving a warm welcome from the friendly Fairfield staff at the front desk, we proceeded to our Deluxe Pool View room. The resort rooms revealed a stunning view of the sparkling pool against clear skies, creating a perfect setting for a summer stay!
The room at Fairfield not only offers a picturesque setting, but also comes fully equipped with a comfortable bed, LED TV, air conditioning, ample storage space, fast WiFi, a versatile oval table with a small sofa that doubles as a workspace. Bali job for business. travel, along with easily accessible power outlets. In addition, it has an outdoor seating area to relax, iron and ironing board, a tall mirror and a bathroom with all the amenities. All this in a conveniently designed space!
We love Marriott’s initiative to reduce single-use plastic by providing a gallon of water for seltzer! We love all things that support sustainability!
And here’s the fun part of our stay at Fairfield…we had the chance to relax at the pool bar, enjoying their refreshing and creative cocktails. It’s a Bali must-do to explore the local culinary scene, and we were impressed by the resort’s selection of traditionally-inspired spirits, including Bali Blue Spice, a delicious fusion of pineapple-infused arak mixed with lemon and salak, and served with rujak. It gives off a strong flavor at the first sip, but the deeper it soaks, the drink reveals a delicious balance of sweetness that harmonizes with the spicy and sour notes of the rujak.
The innovative Pool Bar also serves mojitos, whiskeys and negroni-based drinks, as well as Italian-style cappuccino. There is something here for all tastes!
Next to the bar is the large swimming pool with sun loungers and a jacuzzi. The inviting waters of the pool provide the perfect escape after a long day at work or exploring Bali. Although the resort doesn’t have a dedicated kids’ pool, little ones can still enjoy a dip in the Jacuzzi. Then bringing your family to Fairfield is a great idea!
The resort offers a game corner on the second floor near the lobby, equipped with a chess board, miniature golf, jenga, and billiards to keep the kids big and little amused.
We had a festive dining experience while staying at Fairfield. On the day of our arrival, we enjoyed a satisfying dinner at the resort’s latest culinary addition: Jaba Pasta Fiesta at Jaba Lounge on the second floor. His concept had us making our own pasta, choosing from a selection of ten types of pasta, including fettuccine, spaghetti, tagliatelle and fusilli, and a variety of delicious sauces and dressings!
We couldn’t resist having another cocktail at Jaba Lounge. This time, we tried the citrus-based Arak cocktail with a mix of ingredients like cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, rosemary, and gin. Unlike the Bali Blue Spice bold, this one had a milder flavor and delicious aroma. If you are a citrus lover like us, you might want to give it a try!
Jaba Lounge starts serving every day from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and there will be live music every night to decorate your quiet evening at the resort before calling it quits for the day.
Day 2
The next day, we explored Jejaton, the resort’s Asian-themed restaurant, for breakfast. Ranked among the top 3 restaurants in Kuta, Jejaton mainly serves Western and Indonesian food, ensuring a harmonious combination of flavors for guests. They offer a wide range of selections from pastries and fried dishes to vegetarian Indian cuisine. Also, the resort is very accommodating to specific dietary requirements upon request.
The breakfast experience at Jejaton goes beyond a simple dinner. Guests can enjoy live cooking stations with teppanyaki and noodles; You should definitely try Indomie during your visit, crepes and waffles, traditional nasi jinggo and chef prepared appetizers. We enjoyed switching between the sweet and savory bites.
Our second day was focused on wellness. After enjoying some leisure time in the outdoor area of our room, we headed to the gym, which is open 24 hours a day. Although not very spacious, the gym is well equipped to keep you in shape during your vacation. It also has a meditation room that is also used for yoga.
To enhance our wellness journey, we treated ourselves to a 60-minute Balinese massage at the Alaya Spa, located on the third level of the resort. It was a great way to enjoy relaxation during our vacation.
Overall we had a truly fun yet rejuvenating experience staying at Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road. With its convenient location close to Bali’s attractions, comfortable rooms with panoramic views, excellent dining options, and warm hospitality, the resort effortlessly ticks all the boxes as a must-visit Kuta destination.
